Original vintage adjustable shelving unit in birch by String Sweden. This modulair wall system consist of four birch shelves and three grey coated (metal wire) brackets. The shelves can be placed in any given height. The unit is in great vintage condition, only light traces of use as shown on photo.
Designed in 1949, it was a ground breaking concept. It became one of Sweden’s most iconic design pieces.

DUTCH / NEDERLANDS: Origineel, vintage modulair wandsysteem van String, Zweden. Deze modulaire unit bestaat uit vier berken houten planken (fineer) en drie grijs metalen staanders. De elementen zijn in goede, vintage staat, lichte gebruikssporen, conform leeftijd. Dit systeem ontworpen door Nils Strinning was in 1949 baanbrekend, door de vele variabele mogelijk en de open en industriële constructie. Het mogelijk wel het meest iconische en bekende ontwerp van Zweden.
