Petrified wood bowl or basin in brown tones. The item is smooth sanded on the inside and has the original (a rough) wooden texture on the outside. This petrified wooden object is the end product of a per-mineralization process, in this case wood, which takes millions of years. The object still holds the organic and typically wooden tissue and carvings from the original wood. It can be used as a bowl, petit basin or Stand alone, just as it is. The brown and beige tones of the material, and the difference in texture on the outside and inside, make this a fascinating piece.

DUTCH / NEDERLANDS:  Versteend houten kom of klein basin, in bruine tinten. Het item is aan de binnenkant fijn gepolijst en aan de buitenkant heeft het de originele (ruwe) houtstructuur. Dit versteende houten object is het eindproduct van een per-mineralisatieproces, in dit geval hout, dat miljoenen jaren in beslag neemt. Het object bevat nog steeds het organische en typisch houten weefsel en houtsnijwerk uit het originele hout. Het kan worden gebruikt als kom, petit basin of als autonoom object. De bruine en beige tinten van het materiaal, en het verschil in textuur aan de buitenkant en binnenkant, maken dit een fascinerend stukje organische geschiedenis.
