Georg Thams lounge chair

Georg Thams lounge chair

A Georg Thams lounge chair(model 61, 1964) with an eye catching frame of smoked oak and rosewood slats in the back. The piece was manufactured in the late 1960s by Vejen Polstermøbelfabrik. This Danish modern piece, with legs that go all the way up to the back and support the rosewood panels, is recently re- upholstered in a great green and blue abstract floral velvet by Jack Leonor Larsen. The leg-back construction of Thams has a bit of the bold attitude of the iconic Kangaroo chair, designed by Pierre Jeanneret in the 50s.
The item is in great condition. There are separate, extra cushions for the armrests and the back, see photos.
