This plate is made of petrified wood, this material is organically formed during a petrification process of wood, which takes millions of years. This natural object still has the outlines  and grain of the wooden steam, yet is polished on both sides. It now looks and feels as stone.

DUTCH / NEDERLANDS: Organisch gevormde schaal van versteend hout, in zwarte en beige kleuren. Deze schaal is organisch gevormd tijdens een versteningsproces dat miljoenen jaren duurt, van (in dit geval) hout. Het item heeft nog steeds de omtrek en unieke en typische nerf van de houten oorsprong, maar het ziet er nu uit als steen. Dit object is aan beide kanten gepolijst en kan gebruikt worden als schaal, huis of bureau accessoire of als bijzonder decoratief object.
