Lounge and Dining Chairs

Ib Kofod Larsen chair for Froscher

Ib Kofod Larsen chair for Fröscher 1974

Well shaped Ib Kofod Larsen lounge chair in dark grey (wool) fabric, black metal and beech armrests, for Fröscher, 1972.  The item has been recently re-upholstered by the previous owner, fabric is professionally cleaned and again in great condition, we have renewed the foam of the separate cushion and the webbing underneath the seating. Black metal legs in nice condition, only light traces of use, and teak, curved, armrests.  The listed item is in great condition, perfectly shaped shell and great comfort. We have a matching set of 3 in stock, but can be sold separate.

At the beginnings of the 1970s, IB Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003) was commissioned by furniture company Fröscher (Germany) to design an exclusive lounge chair that would set new standards for the company. And he did. This design (executed in wood as well as metal frame) represents the recognizable elegance of Ib Kofod Larsen’s design and the great comfort he combines this with. The spirit of his earlier ‘Seal’ and ‘Elizabeth’ designs is definitely present.
