EA107 Herman Miller set

EA107 Herman Miller set of 5, 1958

Set of 5 Charles and Ray Eames dining or office chairs, model EA107 by Herman Miller (USA 1970s, labelled 938-147). The set of 5 is in very good condition. All intact. No instabilities. The chair has no swivel or suspension mechanisme, the seating is static. The hopsack (wool) black upholstery is intact and in good condition, the aluminium frame is in excellent condition, the most visual traces are the varnish on top of the armrest, this has started peeling. See photos. This can be removed, ask us for options.

The Eameses designed these chairs in 1958 with a cast aluminium frame and a seat frame meant to support a stretched canvas, which was latter replaced with a wool hopsack or leather. This designs and the models that followed are know as the ‘Aluminium Group’.

DUTCH / NEDERLANDS: Set van 5 Charles en Ray Eames eetkamer of bureaustoelen, model EA107 van Herman Miller (USA jaren ’70, gemerkt en genummerd: 938-147). De set van 5 is in zeer goede staat. Allemaal intact. Geen instabiliteiten. De stoel heeft geen draai- of kantelmechanisme, de zitting is statisch. De hopsack (wollen) zwarte bekleding is intact en in goede staat, het aluminium frame is in uitstekende staat, de meest zichtbare sporen zijn de lak bovenop de armleuning, deze is gaan bladderen. Zie foto’s. Dit kan verwijderd worden, vraag ons naar de mogelijkheden.
