Danish Modern lounge chair in teak

Danish Modern lounge chair in teak, Gelderland

A slender construction of teak and metal form the airy and almost transparant base of this design. This listed lounge chair was imported in the Netherlands by Gelderland, but it originated in Denmark. At this point the designer is unknwon; Yet the construction and design show the craftsmanship and skill of the Danish mid century avant garde such as Grete Jalk, Finn Juhl, Folke Ohlsson or Hans Wegner.

Midcentury pair of lounge chairs, from Danish origin, completely checked, cleaned and restored with a new red/salmon woven melange of Kvadrat upholstery. The springs underneath the seating have been checked and were needed replaced, again in excellent condition, very good comfort.
