Brutalist Ox Lounge chair (on hold)
Brutalist Ox lounge chair
A re-upholstered leather 1960s large and a bit Brutalist – yet very comfortable – lounge chair. This piece feels connected to the Brazilian playfulness that is characteristic in designs by Percival Lafer or Sergio Rodrigues. Both armrests are curved and, like the slat back, they flow round to flare out towards the end. Great comfort.
*We have another frame in stock, which we can upholster in a fabric or leather of choice. Ask us about the options.*
This piece, from which the designer is unknown, has been well constructed, which is great to look at from all sides. The heavy rosewood has a beautiful grain and the contrast with the soft brown leather really make this an eye catcher in any home. The listed lounge chair is executed in a solid Jacaranda Rosewood frame, which is in excellent condition. We gave the wood a fresh new wax coating. The cushion is completely new, and made from a thick, yet very soft, high quality cognac / brown coloured anilin (cow) leather. The cushion is also treated with a wax coating to protect it against the first spatters and use.
